I have been working on Micro SaaS ecosystem for more than 2 years and in the process built profitable Micro SaaS products, Newsletters, Community, Info Products. Today, we are one of the best communities for Micro SaaS and just launched on PH at https://www.producthunt.com/post... Ask me anything!!

What's the most common mistake by the first time founders?

@mariamyusuf_ "Building the product first and assuming the audience will automatically come seeing the product" - This is one of the biggest and most common mistakes first time founders do. That's one of the reasons, you see second time founders building the product and talking to users/marketing in parallel.

I have only just begun, so right now I am really puzzled as to where should a beginner get started and understand the precedence. Also, if it is, at all, a reliable source of ongoing revenue once the product has won over a following of devoted patrons?

@mahnoor_badar There are multiple patterns you could think through. But the safe bet would be to try growing a SaaS plus an Info product/Newsletter to supplement additional income. When you are just starting, don't worry about its a recurring revenue or one-time revenue. Anything that gives some revenue is important. Some pointers 1) Try thinking to create an Info product (Ebook/Course) with something that you are good it. It doesn't have to at Level 400. You can just do at Level 100. There will be people at all levels to learn. Use tools like Gumroad, Flurly to accept payments. 2) You can also try to launch a Newsletter in your interested niche. This takes time to see growth but can be a good side hustle. There are various ways to make revenue out of Newsletter once it grows. 3) Pick a simple SaaS if you are doing it first time. If coding is not your thing, pick NoCode tools. To understand more about Micro SaaS, you can look at communities like MicroSaaSHQ, IndieHackers, Reddit to find some inspiration. Even ProductHunt can be a great inspiration. But the point is to GET STARTED.
