A new Whiskey app?

Would whiskey enthusiasts be interested in a clean, easy-to-use, whiskey app that offers new whiskey recommendations and allows users to rate and make tasting notes on different whiskies? (Even those there are many apps like that out there already, however the horrible design and UI/UX decisions steer me away from using them)

My wife's company is based out of Kentucky, so all of her bosses are big whiskey and bourbon enthusiasts. I would love the ability to have some common ground and/or insight into the brands they talk about, what makes each bottle different, etc. An app that helps educate me during the experience could be very useful.

@wayneeld sounds perfect. When are you looking to make this available?
Wayne Eldridge
@mpaine thanks for the feedback Mike, much appreciated. Details of the whiskey, its ingredients, where it was made, how it is stored etc would definitely be available.
Wayne Eldridge
@mpaine TBD, but I will inform you when it is available.

Look forward to it. I’ll be following your journey. Best of luck.

Whiskey ice cream is my second fav flavor, but not your ideal customer as Whiskey in general is not my thing. However... chiming in with a random thought. Perhaps this could be tied to a subscription box of sorts? Ratings lead to customized samples each month.

@alynepadilla thanks for the thought. I did actually think about that. An app "paired" with a tasting subscription where you would be sent 3 whiskies a month to taste, make notes on, and maybe vote for the best whiskey? I did some market research on the "whiskey subscription box" and there are great companies that do whiskey subscriptions, so it may be a bit saturated but a good idea if it has an added app.

@wayneeld Yeah some of those boxes do really well. Maybe then switch over to whiskey flavored ice cream-you’d have one customer for sure! 😎 All the best as you think through the app.
