What do you want to accomplish using Product Hunt ?

Product Hunt is a great platform with a great community but I'm having a hard time figuring it out what to expect. Should I aim to gain popularity or should I aim to get feedback ? For what purpose is Product Hunt more suited ? Advise needed :D
