5 Steps for a Successful Launch 🚀

Hello everyone, I'm Ofir Kruvi 👋
Reflecting on our journey to achieving the #3 Product of the Day with @jika.io, I've crafted five essential steps to guide my team towards our next launch. I hope some of these tips can be relevant to you!
Step 1. Prime Your Pre-Launch Audience: Securing a group of initial supporters is crucial for a Product Hunt launch. This early backing helps propel your product to the top of the lists, maximizing visibility on the platform. To quantify, you want at least 50 people ready to support you on launch day.
Step 2. Craft a Compelling Product Story: Use the "maker comment" to introduce your team and the inspiration behind the product. Highlight the problem you're solving and why your solution stands out. Videos and Gifs work great for making your text memorable and engaging—so make sure to use them.
Step 3. Optimize for Engagement: That means encourage and actively participate in discussions about your products. And not only on this platform, but on social medias like Reddit, where people are familiar with the concept of ProductHunt. Lastly, leverage your own platform and existing users. Send them emails and add a banner to your site to invite them to support you.
Step 4. Time Your Launch Strategically: The timing of your launch can significantly impact its success. Post your product at the start of Product Hunt's daily cycle (12 am PST) to maximize your visibility throughout the day. Also, consider the day of the week that might work best for your target audience.
Step 5. Focus on Email Capture: Given Product Hunt's role as a discovery channel, capturing email addresses should be a key goal. Make it easy and compelling for users to leave their email addresses, whether through exclusive offers, in-depth guides, or early access to new features. Remember, the goal is to build a lasting relationship with your audience, not just to make a one-time impression.
What do you think? Is there anything you'd change or add to my list?
