I think staring earlier may give an edge to you over staring during the season! Simply because it's crowded. If this matters to your audience, customers and you, earlier the better.

We often get derailed and distracted! I think it's important we understand if the purpose of the product is met! If people are very happy with the core functionality, features don't matter the most. Definitely important, but not so soon! So, fix the core rest will fall in place.

As much as language, culture, etc matters a lot. Beyond all that, it is important we build audience first and product next! Building minimum viable market is as important as building MVP. But, not too late too.
Have a strong foothold within your geography and simultaneously work on building your audience - via quality content + personal branding
