Hey Ansh, congrats on building Realtalk! It's great to see new apps in the social media space that are doing things differently. I would advise building towards the second value prop. I'd be worried that building towards the first (share whatever they wanted to with the freedom of not being judged) could lead to an abundance of hostile and abusive posts if people feel they can say "whatever"...

It's all about delivering value in the push notifications. For instance, look at the number of push notifications sent by messaging apps or Uber—yet we never complain about those. As a PM/Engineer, if you put yourself in the user's POV, what notifications would deliver (pun intended) value?

I would create separate social media profiles for your product and then follow people who you feel fit the target demographic for your product. If they like it, they might follow back and then you have a captive audience to share future product updates & news with. I did this with one of my side projects, and it's worked very well.
