Are discussions moderated first?
I wanted to ask a question of the community and posted a new discussion. It's been at least an hour and I don't see it showing up anywhere.
Are posts moderated or something else I'm not aware of yet being new?

Launch timing? Was your offer a bust, mild or a massive success?
Hi all,
Granted, I'm new on the site and doing a lot of reading and digesting. I've read a lot about when to launch and decided I would simply submit my product.
Maybe I'm missing something because I'm new but are there any stats showing hits and misses, wins and failures, etc.
Was launch timing a thing for you? Aren't we told that about everything? Don't cold call on Monday's or Friday's,...

It depends on who is funding it. A bootstrap, sure, exciting but tons of stress too.
How excited do you feel about building cool projects with developers from around the world?

This is something we are struggling with also but in a slightly different way. We've tried to work with a couple of authors but each time, they barely understand what we are offering so their posts as not relevant.

I would have to say the difference in bandwidth or problems with the connectivity with some of the members in the conference. When one or more have these problems, the rest of the team end up finding it hard to get in sync and stay in sync.

Because monitoring such a service can be a highly technical task, the point was, and continues to be, to design in a...

Do you ever wonder if you are getting the Internet performance you are paying for?
For most, this is too technical of a task but now, anyone, technical or non technical can monitor their Internet service and provider using www.outagesio.com.
Everyone has Internet problems, some rarely, some ongoing. The hardest part and mystery for most is documenting facts in order to get help from the...

For me, there are three main things, some mentioned in this thread already but absolutely true.
1: Finding cost effective and efficient methods of promoting what you are offering.
2: Finding employees without having to go through 10 each time to land 1 good one.
3: Offering a free version of your product and getting very little feedback from it.
What are the challenges of developing your project? 🤔

Good input. The one thing I'd have liked to read about was how you initially promoted/marketed which seems to be the biggest hurdle of all new ideas.
