Hi Melissa, Pricing Strategy is the backbone of how you monetize the product.
It is as important as product strategy or GTM Strategy.
As you know, it is no longer Product-Market fit, but Produt-Market-Pricing fit that investors will be looking for.

@Mizanur_Rahman the most sustainable pricing model is when your price metric i.e units by which you price your product, is aligned to your value metric, i.e units by which the customer gains value.

@usha_bharadwaj the best indicator of a product's success is if your customers are willing to pay. So if you can monetize it and gain traction that should be the best indicator.
That is why, It should/is no longer Product-Market fit, but should be Product-Market-Pricing fit.

Hi @sebastien_chaine It really depends on your product and how your customers actually gain value.
Monthly subscriptions are fine for majority of B2C products, but there too you have an option of selecting the price model that works best for you.

Adding to what Roland already said, Subscription is when the customers get value on a on-going basis. If it is one-time purchase and the use is only once in a while, it does not make sense to go subscription route as the customers wouldn't pay that.
Freemium options are really not right for everyone either. Unless you can leverage a large community of free users to attract advertisers or...
