4 free websites that I use to research investors and VCs ⬇️
Knowing where to start or even where to find investors can be time consuming and hard. Where’s some free resources available to all that I’ve used myself in past:
1. 📌 Pitch directly to investors and media outlets : Houseofpitch.app
2. 📌 Access top Silicon Valley investors and VC profiles or apply to the Mercury raise program: Mercury.com/raise
3. 📌 Research and filter through per...

However, that was short lived as soon as I came across these resources.
Here are 3 free website that I use to connect with investors :

Omar, after going through some hard falls, I’ve learned that perfection is the enemy of growth. It impossible to have all the answers right from the start. You have so many dead angles. Embracing the process of growth makes you flexible to learn, improve, and constantly iterate on your products. Which is for the best. Launch it anyway your product and remain open for feedback no matter the...
Do you wait for perfection or do you start and improve along the way?

For me personally, it took me years to find peace in my entrepreneurial archetype. I haven’t worked a 9-5 in 7 years and I’m loving it. It is not easy but the flexibility to experiment and iterate on your own project is something fulfilling. But I can’t see why it might not be for everyone
How do you manage 9-5 and side hustle?

How many of you have applied for Ycombinator summer 24 yet? 🤔
I would never stress enough founders to apply for this accelerator program especially if they are still in the seed to series A stage.
Don’t be afraid to have it all figured it out yet.
If you have a great idea that you believe in, a great team that already building and iterating on the product, some traction even if it not yet impressive, you should take a few hours and apply.
What...

I analyzed seed pitch deck of unicorns and here’s what I’ve found
1. They keep it short and sweet (they don’t overwhelm prospects with tons of information)
2. Most pitch decks are between 9-13 slides
3. They focus on traction, market opportunity, the strength of their team, and clearly stating the problem that they are solving.
Again no fancy design nor animation.
No jargon with tons of texts.
I’ve got a free 10 slides ready to use pitch deck linked...

How did you go about finding your very first investor? 💰
Who was it? How was the process of convincing them not only to believe in your product but also to invest their money?
My first angel investor was part of my network. He wasn't a friend, but a high net worth acquaintance who was also a past founder. The fact that we weren't close friends and that he had experience in the startup world made the conversation much easier.
When raising money...
