I was working for a startup which had lots of plants in the office. For two months they couldn't access the office and not sure what happened next.... that would have been a really helpful solution for them!

I would rather focus on javascript/typescript. Lots of support, docs, libraries, and pretty sure it's the most used language at the moment. It gives you the opportunity to also write backend code + mobile apps.
