I think so.
1/ People want to connect with a person more than a 'company' so you'll get more organic reach and engagement on any social posting
2/ Personal brands can be used properly to 'build in public' and get feedback or support as you go along. An interview I did (https://indiemarketingplays.com/...) on this really opened my eyes. It's more than just posting updates, it's about...
Do founders benefit more from a personal brand than those without one?

Has anyone made some great connections on here?
I'm wondering about the networking potential of Product Hunt.
Does anyone have some cool experiences meeting great people here?

Maybe could use a highlights summary below the headmast section. Then some social proof, if you have any so far?
I was wondering about writing better landing pages alot so I interviewed someone who had done a tonne of landing page teardowns for her best advice: https://indiemarketingplays.com/...

Asking my existing connections. I've been trying to network more with folks with this skillset on Twitter. How about you?
Where do you find your UX designers?

Nice one Alex! I can see this saving a bunch of time for what is a box-tick for many people. But even if not, it would give a great baseline to potentially edit.

Let's network: Who do you want to meet?
Networking is powerful, but I think sometimes I'm too timid about it. Maybe you feel the same?
So let's cut to the chase :-). Let's share about ourselves, who we want to meet and how to connect.
I'll go first:
About me:
I'm a paid ads agency founder, Podcast and SEO community host.
Looking to meet:
- Podcast Hosts,
- Newsletter authors,
- HARO link builders
- Local service companies
-...

What are the most innovative newsletter products out this year?
This is a space that I don't see that much innovation in, but maybe I'm wrong.
Keen to see what's out there.

A real time saver. Nice product. I think it could be great for SEO teams, especially.
JournoConnect
Automatic HARO and #JournoRequest keyword notifications
We make building clean white-hat backlinks fun. Don't
want to check HARO and Twitter every day? We're keeping an eye on
things 24/7, so you don't have to. Get notified only when the most
relevant requests pop up.

Yeah, I used to hate Twitter because of the politics, etc. But now I love it.
Originally I tried to do the normal thing which was to 'build an audience'. But I found it a tiny bit unauthentic.
Later, I came across a creator there who encouraged me to focus on making friends and networking on the platform. It's better to have 500 people who know and like you versus 50,000 people who follow...
Are you trying to grow your online presence in Twitter?

Have you ever signed up to a SaaS product because of a lead magnet?
I'm curious to find examples of where this has been done really well.
When I think about it, maybe the only thing close to this experience I've had is the SEO minicourse by Tim Soulo for Ahrefs.

If you make a coming soon page on Product Hunt, can your product still be hunted?
Thought I might not be the only person who's wondering this. I'm sure there's an easy answer. :)

My fear would be stuffing it up. Don't want to burn my friends and contacts on a flop because it would feel bad to ask them for a 2nd time later.
Is the fear of launching your product real?

Which of these topics would be interesting to you as marketer or founder?
Wondering if I may ask the community for some feedback here.
I'm looking for a topic to research in depth and write more about on my blog and newsletter. I'd love to know which of these would be of interest to people.
Any votes would be appreciated!

how do you acquire users from social media without an existing audience?
I would really like to learn from others here to know what techniques are currently working :-)
the main one I see is comment marketing. But for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn et cetera It seems like these channels require you to have an audience already (unless you use ads).

Indeed, nobody wants to be a number. It it's not that nice when people don't actually want to engage back or support in return.
Such a missed opportunity to network!
Asking for support on launch day is killing your chances of going #1!
