Depends what you want to PRIMARILY communicate.
New Problem:
Do you need to educate users about a new problem + solution? An animated explainer video is useful here, but has no business being on your webpage, visitors here already "get" the concept. If they don't you need to explain the concept much more simply than a video.

This is not something unique to ProductHunt, but rather software in general. Products are easier to build, easier to ship. There's a playbook for everything.
Its easier than ever to get the initial spurt of awareness and interest and fill your Top of Funnel, but harder than ever to create real sustainable growth unless you put real effort into building a stellar product.

So we have a freelance animator. We write a script of what we want in the demo video. The animator is fully trained on the product and they take a screen recording of the entire flow in Loom on a 4K monitor. We then work together to edit the entire video, remove unnecessary screens and add animations and transitions.

I'd do 2 things.
Such a tool is targeted at marketers itself, so you got to get this discovered by marketers. While PH has plenty, it's probably not the best platform. You need to talk about this tool on marketing communities - reddit, slack communities, internet forums wherever. Just be authentic and part of conversations where it makes sense to talk about your tool. DO NOT blatantly promote...

Hi Folks,
I'm scaling my design team from an early first hire to 3-4 people to handle the growing volume and velocity of work. The scope runs the gamut from social media and blog graphics to (some) product UI to all the graphics (static and motion) on the website. We'll soon add new things events, community, podcasts etc. to the mix.
