We're bootstrapped as well. Here are a few things to try:
Hard Work (have to do)
- A cool website
- Landing pages (of all sorts)
- Create an SEO strategy
- Create content (for traffic)
- Create content (for UX and support like guides, documentation, etc.)
- Start building community early on
Leverage (this is where smart comes in)
- Talk about your product in all spaces (Quora, Reddit, PH,...

I strongly feel partnerships at the early stage are supposed to drive user feedback and not traction.
Why?
Because, if you get influencers, etc. to promote your product, yes, you will get traction and an influx of users. Just remember, no product is in tune with what users want, at least not in the beginning.
A product is built with the best of understanding by the founding team. But, in the...

I know we can go on and on about which one's better.
I'll just share something one of my teachers told me back in school.
Q. Adeeb, can hard work beat talent?
A. No, sir
Statement: When you're sleeping, someone's working. And if you and him/her collide one fine day, no matter how talented you are, you'll be blown away.
Coming to the choice between the two, I leave it to thy judgment (Cause,...

I'd like to base it around not just startups but established organizations as well.
If you fail to adapt to the changing audience, persona, needs, demands, wants, etc. you will run obsolete.
What's important is innovation and pivoting based on how the industry is changing. If you flow with the river then you get farther, if not, well we know what happens then.
Staying relevant,...

Hey, thanks for sharing the article.
Trust, more than the expertise lies in the experience of the 'expert'. I mean one of the reasons why someone is called an expert is because of experience.
Expertise might become near free, but it is that + experience for which a client pays. There are nuances and minute details that come with experience only.
So, the 'human-ness' that comes from somewhere...
Expertise will become free...really?

I'd agree with you here... and disagree
It totally depends on the product and what it offers. If the offering is too vast or is multifaceted, 14 days is good enough to explore it and get a hang of it.
If it is driven towards a niche and has specific functionalities, capabilities, etc. I believe a week should be enough.
In a nutshell, you want your users to use and explore your product, and...

All in for a headless implementation.
But, it is a very specific approach that should meet the needs of the organization to require it (Yes, there's a checklist).
Coming to the design side, hands down it offers complete flexibility to designers, developers, and content teams. Craft a crazy design, use the choice of tech, and effectively distribute content.
Now, of course, such an...

I'll answer under the assumption that we are writing for an organizm, brand, etc. Yes, goals and motives change. Purpose as well.
To me, Content Creation is about giving them a voice, no matter the format. When you are writing for an entity, you're their voice. And turning these brands from organization to organizm is what it all is about.
Hope this makes sense π

I agree with your point. But, I also am a true believer in the power of competition. With no true competition in sight, we will only standardize what the 'only light' shows us. If there are choices, there's a fight, there's always the 'next rollout' to trump the competition.
As @vertikanigam puts it out precisely. We need to keep our eyes and ears open. There might be 'Something in the Way'. π€

What have been your biggest learnings from selling your product/service?

Find and hit the pain points.
Then address them with vital and useful information. And in that subtly introduce your product.
People want to associate and/or connect with people first, product comes after. You market your effectiveness/expertise first, build trust, and that directly trickles down to your product.
With this approach, you get a strong association and trust in the product,...

You can use AI to break down competitors and analyze them with your approach. You can do it, but it'll take hours.
Also, you can correlate diverse data like reviews, comments, websites, etc. to drive more precise insights and give your product a more informed and armed direction.
This is one of the use-cases DocXter is built for.

As we were and still are building DocXter, there were a lot of hurdles (known and unknown).
What I'd recommend is getting your website, landing pages, and service pages, along with all other content like documentation, guides, interactive videos, images, etc. in place.
