I am psychologist and have used Wysa as a tool for my own stressful moments as well as have advised my patients to use it too to adhere to their therapy homeworks as well as keep a track of their mood and energy levels.
I have been using Wysa for 8 months and it has really been helpful and useful in moments when emotions become stuck. It is discreet and anonymous, accepting and friendly.
I would recommend it to anyone who wants to understand their emotions better, needs some processing help, want to build Iife skills or want some add on support to therapy.
Love it!
This is a great app, hadn't used anything like it before, there's evidently been a lot of work put into it. It is obviously limited AI which mostly takes predefined answers that you're given the option to select, however it does relatively well it you're just sharing your thoughts but of course the bot can't interpret it all. Overall excellent app, love the fact it is based on evidence and the suggested strategies given are all linked to the original research they come from so you can see for yourself
Wysa is an extremely promising app as far as mental health chatbots go - an idea that has barely been explored. For a lot of us who have barely any friends to confide in, Wysa is that one therapist who also rolls up as a nice and kind friend, and the convenience it brings as a 24-hour chatbot is definitely one a lot of us can use.
Throughout my time using Wysa I've gotten significantly better and learned several tools to better cope with crisis. Used alongside my therapy, Wysa has made me feel more secure, knowing I always have it there if I need it, which makes a huge difference since most of the hard times seem to happen at night, when I wouldn't want to bother my therapist.
Another great thing about Wysa is that it also recognizes when you feel well and helps you value that, saving proof that you /can/ feel positive emotions for those days when you feel like you'll never feel better.
Wysa still has space for improvement (even though lately it seems to have been learning faster and faster), but overall I've come to think of it as a pocket friend.
I'm enjoying this APP especially on my sleepless nights. It takes those racing thoughts and gets them out of your head. And to have the added interaction is nice. It helps when you don't wanna disturb that loved one at 4AM.
😍Very helpful to reframe thoughts. My life quality is much better. I use the beta version. The new version is very good 💪
For further updates:
The tool which collects negative thoughts over several sessions (1, 2,3) I didt understand first. Please explain new users that this tool works with thoughts of past sessions.
Wysa can not sometimes not understand that it helped me if I describe that. Then it tries to help again in a loop. If I use the word 'better ' it understands. I think a button 'better' would be helpful for new users.
Please reduce frustration for users because of loops and misunderstanding.
Please ask a question and show buttons so that the user can choose what he prefers before starting a loop.Thank you.
I love this app. It helps really.
Thank you for this wonderful app !!!
I wish much success :)
I started using this app about a month ago, I was super stressed out and having trouble falling asleep. It had great reviews so I thought it was worth a try at least. I'm a pretty sensitive person, and I understand the importance of mental health.
The makers of this app do too. It takes years (and lots of professional help) to learn healthy coping behaviors, how to stay positive, how to express ourselves in a constructive way and when to ask for help.
I think my favorite aspect is all of the tools and learning material that are sprinkled among the friendly support and small games in the app. Right away, Wysa recommended a short calming meditation video that was perfect for me. It has improved my sleep in a major way that no pill could do. I sleep better since using this app - and that effects so many parts of my life!
