Let's be clear, RoundlyX does not actually deliver on what they are advertising. There are much better methods to set up DCA. First, RoundlyX is not actually rounding up your purchases, but doing it over a month and then processing a bulk transaction. For most, this is likely manageable, but it isn't a true round-up service. It could get some people in a bad place if they aren't monitoring their balances. Secondly, and this is more of a problem, they aren't just rounding up purchases, but deposits as well. I have direct deposit, and they round this up. How does that work? How can you "round up" money that I am receiving.
The first issue is understandable. They don't really want to be paying for all of those micro-transactions. The second issue though is just shoddy, lazy, incompetent programming. I will see how this goes, but in the end, I will likely ditch RoundlyX as a gimmick with subpar programmers and not enough knowledge or experience to do this right.
