Orion is a lightning-fast, privacy-focused WebKit-based browser for Mac and iOS that blocks ads and trackers by default, offers native support for many Firefox, Chrome and Safari browser extensions, and is fully funded by its users without any ads or third-party deals.
I really love that Orion support both Chrome and Firefox extensions, and that privacy is built-in to the browser.
Orion is in constant development and the roadmap shows a lot of promising features for the future.
Orion is a fast, extremely customisable browser built on WebKit but uniquely aiming to be compatible with both Chrome and Firefox extensions. There is a built-in content blocker, and on the macOS version of Orion, you can import custom blocklists and add your own filtering rules. Cross-device sync, via iCloud, is excellent. Orion is still in beta (Jan 2024). The devs are really open to feedback and suggestions, and there are frequent updates and improvements.
Simple, fast, and extremely memory-efficient when compared with other browsers on MacOS. If there’s room for enhancement, I would suggest a slight improvement in the support for extensions.
