My Problem:
I ordered a pair of replacement lenses for my sunglasses and the lenses I received are disappointing at best. I ordered red mirrored lenses for sunglasses and got lenses that are barely dark and don’t really count as sunglasses without a red mirror finish. I wish I could say the customer experience was a decent one, however I had problems with the order from the start. Best option to get it fixed is to send them back and wait another month for my lens to be corrected, and I need to verify my measurements at a local eye physician to ensure the prescription is correct. Side note I have a pair of normal glasses for inside use with the same prescription from a local place that are great. At this point I wish I never placed my order and went to Costco for new lenses and frames of what I wanted at half the price of these lenses.
Concerns and Problems with the order:
I ordered lens on August 30th and sent the frames with old lens using the label provided
On September 6th tracking indicated that they package was delivered
Notified that my package was lost
Once they found the box a few days later, I was notified they had lost my sunglasses because it was separated from the box
Informed after multiple phone calls to look at the new pair of replacement lenses
This was incorrect because they found my sunglasses in the box at the lab, shipment processing mistake
I was repeatedly contacted because I was missing information on my order for prescription and measurements
Upon calling several times when notified to remedy the missing information I was told the information was already on the order
I had supplied everything in the order at the time of purchase
I had to retake my photos and send it to the customer service person
Finally on September 26th I got my sunglasses back, and what a heartbreaking disappointment
The lens don’t really qualify as sunglasses, barely any dark tint and I have seen early transitions darker then these lenses
The red mirror finish I requested wasn’t present, barely a red tint to them
Perception was incorrect due to probably wrong measurements
Customer service states they are sorry it will take another 3 weeks to 1 month to correct the lens, this is assuming that all of the previous problems don’t surface again
So I’m out my favorite pair of sunglasses and I medically need to operate outside, which for anyone without that fact still sucks
I have to go to back to the eye physician in order to get measurements for the lens
What is the point of this service then?
