Well, I met a girl about 2-3 years ago that bought an OGarden and she showed me the machine in her living room. It looked great, she was satisfied… but later on I heard that she had problems with the bearings and the machine started to make sounds. She got some free spare parts from the company, the problem was quickly fixed… and she kept growing cool things just beside her TV…
Anyway, this got stocked in my mind. I thought to myself that maybe one day I will have one myself too.
Reading here and there, I found that the company had been bought by a new administration and I contacted them directly. Yes, I confirm, the former company got in financial trouble because they had quality problems and the customer service did suffer for a wile because of all this.
About 6 months ago, I wrote to them many times because I had questions and some doubts about the machine and I always got some fairly quick and good answers from their customer service. I spoke to Simon and Edwin and they answered my questions very well. To what I understand, they changed the components that were making problems in the past and what they sell now is the improved version, they told me, without the former bugs the previous machines had.
Understanding their warranty (within one year from purchase date, if there is anything that is a problem with the machine, they send you brand new parts for free and instruct you how to change it with email, pictures, videos or we could get a full refund if not satisfied), I finally jumped in and decided to buy an OGarden myself.
The machine came in within 5 days and everything was great. Except the fact that there was a little scratch in the front left door at a place where I could see that the carrier slightly broke the shipping box. Not a big deal, but I did not fully appreciated it. I took a picture, send it to their customer service, got a quick answer and I did receive a new door about a week later with email instruction on how to change it. Unscrewed 2 little screws and place it back… worked like a charm.
I’ve been using the machine for about 5 months now. I think this is fantastic! Plants grow very easily and quickly inside the machine and it is really beautiful to see all those vegetables growing in their last stage into the wheel. And it is very fun to go get the greens and make a super fresh salad on the spot, knowing it did grow all this stuff in my kitchen!
Yes, I have to add water into it about 1 time per week. One time, I wanted to travel for a duration of about 3 weeks and had to ask a neighbor to come and add water. Also, adding a water fertiliser into the water gives the plants a great advantage.
I think I’ve made my fresher salads ever since I have it. The taste is just fantastic.
Well, up to now, I give them a 5 star. I’m very satisfied of my experience and I’m glad I bought it. If this changes, I will let you guys know.
