William Gladstone - University of Liverpool to rename building over slavery link
The University of Liverpool has agreed to rename a building named after former prime
minister William Gladstone due to his views on slavery.
Gladstone spoke out against abolition in Parliament because his family had slaves on
plantations in the Caribbean.
