Smart leverage! Now with personal domain and a bit more customization, I can imagine people paying for this.
Andrey Azimov
@cuongish Thanks!

Nice to see this launched finally! This fits the whole narrative currently of stuff like Airtable, Sheetsu, that uses not databases as the core of apps, but simply user editable spreadsheets. Also, it lets people that cannot code, build basic prototypes of data-based mini sites. I see you have basics like sorting? What are the next features you're going to add @andreyazimov? Are you considering paid/premium features for monetization?
Andrey Azimov
@levelsio Thanks, man! Yeah seems now there is some Google Sheet cult! For next premium features, I want to add the possibility to connect Google Analytics directly from the sheet, add Chat, remove branding and use a custom domain(s).

@andreyazimov @levelsio I'm guessing, just adding custom domain as paid feature, like carrd.co does, would be simplest monetisation

@levelsio @andreyazimov awesome ! Can’t tel you how thankful I am for a product like this. Gives me hope to launch a side project that is much more realistic than alternatives I would have had to use. Top two feature requests from me are custom domain and more robust filters like nomadlist. I’m currently using it and can’t thank you enough Andrey!

Andrey, I'm about to become your daily pen pal. Keep an eye out.

Love the concept! Harnessing the power of spreadsheets to make a simple website is a great idea. Connecting the spreadsheet with external data sources (via Zapier for example) could even let you make a pretty dynamic website with this tool. I look forward to getting the opportunity to test it in a future project!
Andrey Azimov
@pbriod yeah man, you can make a mini back end with a spreadsheet. Did you know what you can fetch JSON with a Google Sheet?
Ivan
This gets too popular on PH so site is down now :(

Nice launch Andrey! Curious to see how it develops and how you will earn revenue to reach your $1k /month goal! (for those who hasn't read: https://medium.com/@AndreyAzimov... )

@flowen_nl Thanks man!!!!

This is exactly what I need for a few site I want to launch. I didn't want to go through the headache of doing this in Wordpress or Bootstrap when I just need to get a project out real quick.
Andrey Azimov
@mlsj1 Same man, with is to much time to setup for quick prototype

Hi Andrey! Congrats on the launch! :) I have to say - this reminds me a lot of Awesome Table, which also works with google sheets. What would you say the key difference is between the two? Cheers, Dina

Great Work! @andreyazimov I have a few questions for you, what makes this product so different from others? (Just want to know your vision about this tool) and how it will be beneficial for me?

👋 Hi Product Hunt, I recently quit my job for 1 year to follow my dreams and become an Indie Maker. You can read more here: https://medium.com/@AndreyAzimov... Sheet 2 Site is the first project in my 1-year challenge. 💬 The Story of Sheet to Site When I’m making my previous project https://DarkModeList.com (list of apps that support dark mode) I needed to manage a lot of content about all this app like name, link, image etc.. I didn’t know SQL but I used Google Spreadsheets a lot. So I connected it as a database. After I thought it maybe would be great to have a tool that will generate you a beautiful website just in a few clicks from Google Spreadsheet. Now it seems popular to make some lists (collections) of best tools, places, influencers, cryptos, etc. So Sheet 2 Site can help you to generate it easy to test your MVP. 🎁 Free Features - Background images - Header text and description - Filtering - Sorting - Call to action button - Privacy. No access to your Google Drive you just share specific sheet that you want to use - Connect your existing spreadsheet - Custom URL on sheet2site hosting ⭐️Premium Feature - Custom domain(s) - Remove "Made with Sheet2Site" - Connect Google Analytics - Connect Chat to talk with your users LIVE 💅 Examples of sites: More showcase 👉https://www.sheet2site.com/showc... 👈 🙏 Thanks - @levelsio for inspiration - @marckohlbrugge for ideas - @vlafiser and @kossnocorp for helping me with CSS - WIP Chat for keeps me accountable. Let me know what you think 🙌
Marc Köhlbrugge
Congrats on your launch @andreyazimov. It's inspiring to see the progress you're making. 🙌 The product reminds me of the early days of BetaList. It started out as a Tumblr blog, but could just as easily have been a Sheet 2 Site if it had existed then. It seems like a great tool to get something up and running quickly. I'm curious though to hear more about the long term business model. In case of BetaList I eventually moved away from Tumblr because I outgrew it. As a business owner (whether it's Tumblr or Sheet 2 Site) I think you specifically want to _keep_ growing businesses on your platform. You don't want to lose them the moment they start making money. What's your view on this? Do you see much use-cases where customers will get value long-term value, and not just leave the moment their site grows into something bigger?
Andrey Azimov
@marckohlbrugge thanks for sharing your story I didn't know that BL started with Tumblr. To be honest I didn't think so long term. And I think if I will have this problem when people will churn after they start making money it will be very cool because this means that they used sheet2site to make money so it means sheet2site original idea to bootstrap MVP is working. So I will think about the solution to this problem when I will have it. For now, I'm more curious to see what specific people will use Sheet2Site to solve their specific problems.
