I switched to Reform from Typeform over a year ago, and I'm so glad I did. The form builder is better designed, and the actual form experience for recipients is so much better than going through one question at a time on Typeform.
Reform FTW! π
π Hey Product Hunt, Peter here, founder of Reform
Eight months ago, my co-founder @bjorn_lindholm and I launched Reform here on Product Hunt. We were absolutely blown away by the community! We still get website traffic from PH every single day π€―.
Today, we're back with a huge announcement: You can now get Reform 100% for free with our new Reform Free product.
βοΈ The problem
Sometimes you just need a form for your side project or hobby that you can't really justify paying for. Especially if you just need to run a quick survey. A paid subscription doesn't really make sense for those kinds of things. Especially not with the predatory pricing that some other form builders roll with.
We want you to be able to use Reform in these situations!
β The solution
We've figured out a sustainable way to make Reform free by showing a bit of Reform branding on your forms. We call it Reform Free.
With Reform Free, you get almost all the same features and integrations as paid Reform customers, except custom "thank you" pages, "closed form" pages, file uploads, and team access. If you're okay with that, you can use Reform 100% for free!
π» I can't wait to hear what you think about Reform Free!
I was there first, paid customer. Iβve watched them improve constantly. My inbox is full of updates and improvements that they made to the software.
And through it all, they keep the product elegant, and clutter-free.
I highly recommend.
Reform looks nice and clean, I would appreciate seeing some demo forms (with and without reform logo) before signing up. The templates section seems to require cloning a template before seeing it.
And, how do you compare to formaloo,Tally and Typeform?
@torsten_p We're working on a template gallery, but for now you need to open them up. It's free to make forms, so not a big hurdle, though :)
Here's a bit on how we compare to Typeform: https://www.reform.app/free-type...
Don't have one for Tally. I think they have an awesome product, but I've always been confused about why they're taking so many things from Notion, incl. how their website look.
@petersuhm thanks for the clarification, template gallery should be an hour's work, just add the links to the templates, and you're done?
I don't really see any reason to hide your forms behind a sign in, but you will have your reasons..
Good luck
@bjorn_lindholm@petersuhm Thanks for sharing your update with the community for free. The UI is great - intuitive and easy to understand. Great job and congratulations on the launch.
A very happy paying customer here. Just wanted to share some unexpected benefits after using Reform. Reform made us more aware for opportunities to get information/feedback from our customers. For example:
* Customer says something nice about my product in customer support -> Send them the 'Testimonial' Reform. (With avatar upload)
* Customer has a requests for an integration -> Send them the 'Request integration' Reform
We also have some places in the app where it makes sense to ask for information. For example: 'Is there an integration you like to see that is missing? Please let us know'. Surprisingly our customers give way more concise information than via customer support chat/email.
Good luck on the launch!
It's great they have a free version, however I am still a very happy paid customer
Reform is my go to product for collecting user feedback or when I need to do a more in-depth twitter poll for my endless stream of product ideas π
So excited to see you launch a free version! Weβve been happy customers of Reform for several months for Software Socialβs supporter & advertiser intake forms.
@mjwhansen Thank you, Michele! π We often talked about how podcast co-hosts are great free users while building it. It's often kinda weird who pays for what and often out of your own pocket. So free removes a ton of friction!
I donβt have use cases for a form builder that would justify me paying for it, but sometimes sending around an online form would make things easier. Very exciting that I can now use Reform for free the next time that happens!
And with a brand as clean looking as Reform, who would even mind a bit of branding on your free forms π
Congratulations on the launch! π₯³
Reform is really THE alternative that makes a lot of wrongs right!
Congrats to Peter Suhn and the team for building such an awesome product.
Finally a form builder I enjoy using π
Big fans of Reform at SparkLoop!
Super easy, powerful form builder and looks great. We use it for all our waitlists, surveys and intake forms. Keep up the good work!
Reform is fantastic! Weβve been using it to start our job application flow and it was super easy to set up. The integrations also made it a breeze to manage the entire flow after submission.
Weβre happy paying customer, but are very excited that this free tier will allow more people to experience the delight that is Reform (both as a form creator and form submitter).
First I'll say Reform saves so much time and works so well that we're happy to pay for it!
However we needed a push to try it when Google forms β even if they didn't look anywhere near as good β was a free option.
Releasing a free version of Reform is such a smart move, because it now becomes the default choice for projects of all sizes. I expect the average attractiveness of forms on the internet to improve dramatically π
Best of luck with the launch @petersuhm@bjorn_lindholm
