We built an app call Eathy about two weeks ago, and now it's available on iOS and Google Play.
Eathy - let you scan ingredient labels (food, skincare, supplements, etc.) and get a plain-English summary of what each ingredient actually does. Think of it like an “ELI5” approach for those chemical-sounding names.How it works:
Image-based scanning: Snap or upload a photo of an ingredient list.
LLM-powered parsing: A GPT-like model identifies each component and explains it in simple language (“This is a preservative that keeps food from spoiling,” etc.).
Why? I got tired of trying to decipher cryptic labels every time I bought something new. This is my attempt to automate and simplify that process.
