Ditto lets teams manage and collaborate on the copy across all of their mockups. 🌟
See text edit history across your organization. Track status and approvals. Sync edits to duplicates. Work in our web app or directly in your mockups with our Figma plugin.

In my last figma workflow, this was such a pain. There's so much back and forth and misalignment between the people who have access to tools and the people who have domain knowledge. Looking forward to a future where designers, product managers, and engineers can work better together!
Jessica Ouyang
@gurubavan it's honestly so surprising the # of people we've talked to at large companies with really fleshed out design processes + tooling that they dont have anything to manage their copy, which we honestly think is a HUGE part of design itself! Hoping for that future as well 🀞

Mmm look at this @x10
Jessica Ouyang
@x10 @mordodemaru please let me know if either of you have any questions! :)
Siggi Simonarson
Love the Figma plugin - I always hate going through my mocks and manually updating each line of text. Can't wait until I can edit my mocks and have my copy changes pushed straight to production!
Jolena Ma
@siggi Thank you so much Siggi! And yes, us too! keep your eyes peeled -- should be coming very soon. :)
Micah Fenner
I'm really excited to use Ditto to collaborate better with my cross-functional partners as my design work gets closer to production. It's been awesome to see this product get better so quickly. Can't wait to see even more growth now that it's out in the world πŸŽ‰
Jolena Ma
@micah_fenner thanks for your kind words Micah! we've been able to iterate so quickly in part because of your awesome feedback -- please keep them coming! :)

This looks very cool. Any chance I could try it out? I've put my name down weeks ago but would like to know if I can see it as we wait at home... Thanks! @ouyangatang
Brandon Foo
This is awesome, congrats on the launch!
Jessica Ouyang
@foolywk Thanks Brandon!
Ivan Lee
Nice! Been looking for a way to manage my copy more easily...
Jolena Ma
@_silverhare Thanks Ivan! And glad to hear it -- that's exactly why we built Ditto! :)
Parthi Loganathan
Early beta user of Ditto here. Now working on a startup but I think my team at Google would have loved this!
Jessica Ouyang
@parthi_logan Thanks Parthi! And for dealing with our early bugs =)

This is super useful! Just started using it today to work with my copywriter on a marketing landing page. Something I'd love to be able to do is exclude some text elements from being added to Ditto (for example, the text elements in our nav and footer components, and any text elements I use to create a graphic). Would love for my copywriter to be able to go into Ditto and just see the text elements she needs to pay attention to. (for now I'm solving with status settings!)
Joey Shiner
This seems really great! I was literally just talking to a coworker of mine yesterday about this exact issue we're having. Today's process feels really monotonous and with content writing really starting to show its value, I think it's a good time to get into this space. I'd love to test it with my team. Let me know how we could go about this. Thanks!
Jessica Ouyang
@joey_shiner hey Joey! Can you shoot me an email at jessica@dittowords.com? I'll send you some instructions on accessing it; really excited to get your feedback.
Suraya Shivji
I think this is so cool! Copy is so underrated and important for every product. What size teams/companies is this mostly targeted towards? Congratulations :)
Jessica Ouyang
@surayashivji Definitely agree on copy being important on every product -- at the moment, we've seen this really resonate with large teams, especially as a ton of people touch the copy from design to prod (pms, designers, legal review, marketing, etc.), which can be really cumbersome in a design file. However, we've also been really surprised at all the people that like to use Ditto by themselves or just with 1 other person to keep track of edit history + edit to duplicates!
Afreen Siraj
Beautiful! Thanks for making this for us <3
Fredo Tan
Would love to try this. Signed up.
Jolena Ma
@fredotan amazing -- really excited to hear what you think!
Jessica Ouyang
@fredotan Thanks so much for your interest Fredo! About to send over an email -- super excited to get your thoughts.
Tom Medema
Have been looking for something like this - some way of keeping track of copy revisions, can't wait to try it out! Also left a few annotated comments here on your landing page in relation to conversion optimisation that is hopefully helpful -- https://app.usebubbles.com/37b47...
Jessica Ouyang
@tom4 Thanks Tom! Let me know what you think or how we can improve. And thank you for the landing page feedback -- that's really helpful! I'll see if I can make some changes to it before the weekend. :)
Mathew Pregasen
this is so dope
Jolena Ma
@mathew_pregasen thanks mathew!
Dario Farina
Love it. Took it for a spin and made a whole bunch of changes for an upcoming portion of our app. ?makers is there a way to change a project name at the moment? Thanks.
Jolena Ma
@dario_farina Hi Dario, thanks for responding and apologies about the late response! With our most recent launch (https://www.producthunt.com/post...), the answer is yes!You can change the project name by hovering over it and clicking the pen icon that appears. Thanks so much for supporting Ditto, and let us know if you have any other questions!
Jessica Ouyang
Thanks Kat! πŸ₯° Hey PH community! πŸ‘‹ We created Ditto with the idea that words β€” copy β€” should be a first-class citizen when building product. Improvements to product copy can be transformative for both UX and conversion rates. At Microsoft, copy changes alone resulted in 44% fewer user test errors in Azure and lifted both active users and customer retention. Despite the importance of copy and how many people touch it (everyone from design to legal), copy is often de-prioritized, written ad-hoc, and spread across multiple tools (Jira tickets, mockups, google docs). @jo_m and I have experienced this firsthand as engineers, designers, and PMs at places like Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Asana, and we're hoping Ditto can be a central source of truth for teams to manage their copy from design to production. We've started by integrating with Figma via a plugin. A couple of things you can do in Ditto include: 🚦Track copy status πŸ”ŽSearch, tag, and explain copy πŸ“œTrack change history πŸ‘―β€β™‚οΈEdit all duplicates in a file Pricing: we're currently charging $12 / user / month for teams of 3 or more people ... BUT we're offering a one-time discount of 50% off your first year if you schedule a demo on our website and mention it here as a comment. We've found this to be the most valuable way for us to get feedback and learn about people's workflows! =) Jessica, co-founder
Yair Dovrat
Amazing product! I was leading AB testing and CRO projects in many internet company, and it's amazing to see how much copy matters! Good luck on the launch!
Jessica Ouyang
@yair_dovrat1 Thank you Yair!
Gregory Gevorkyan
This is really good!! In my opinion editing copy is one of the highest ROI things you can do for your product and knowing how many teams get it wrong makes me happy that something like Ditto exists.
Jessica Ouyang
@grisha_gevorkyan We definitely think so too -- it's so easy to leave it to be written by the last person who touches it, despite it often making or breaking a product experience
Jolena Ma
Hi everyone! Jolena here, the other co-founder of Ditto. Ditto started out as an idea during a late-night conversation between me and Jessica in our dorm room at Stanford. *Lots* more late nights and frozen pizzas later, it feels surreal to finally be launching on PH! Though we’ve started out by integrating with Figma, that’s just the beginning. We envision Ditto becoming the copy source of truth end-to-end, across design and production, so that the words on every product can be given the attention they deserve. :) Please please let us know if you have any feedback or feature requests. We’re constantly trying to improve Ditto, and would truly love to hear what you think! πŸ’›
