I'm launching something new soon. I'll launch on Product Hunt, but what are some other good places?

Hi @nickfreiling, I encourage you to check my side project - https://owwly.com. πŸ”₯ Together with my good friend, we help products to promote and find potential customers. Take care!

it always depends on who your customer is. let's say your customers are working moms in Missouri. Obviously PH or IH is not the ideal place to launch that product. I would try to find out where your customers are on a daily basis, and start to build a community there by being helpful β€” solving problems, and answering questions that relate to your solution. Secondly, I would niche down. Find smaller, more focused communities, or groups within a large community that have your customers and repeat the above. Getting blogging and backlinks will be helpful too and listing on review sites betalist, G2 etc will also help keep you high in search for everyone that discovers you after launch.

If you are a SaaS product and are looking for early adopters, AppSumo seems to be a great place to list on. Most of the users there seem to be early-adopters. Life-time deals seem to be the norm there. Here is a blog post I read where the author mentioned AppSumo as a part of the GTM engine - https://www.indiehackers.com/pos...

@vivek_ganesan AppSumo is great if you have some very clear pricing schemes and able to offer important discounts. Another huge advantage: it could also bring a positive cash flow in the short run.

Top of mind for me is Indie Hackers, Twitter, Reddit and a blog post. If it's programming-related you could also post on Hacker News.

@jensnilsson Hi Jens. Indiehacker started to ask for an invitation code for registration, but none of my friends are active users and they have no right to send the code. Do you mind to send me one? Thanks.
Alexandra Kazakova
@jensnilsson @treychong I can help if Jens hasn't sent it to you yet
Jens Nilsson
@treychong Hello Trey, I joined IH pretty recently so unfortunately I haven't got my hands on any codes yet so @alexandra_kazakova2 could help you out

Hey Nick, there is a great post on IH's written by James Fleischmann called 'Relaunch like a pro: 100+ places to launch, relaunch, and list your product'. Pretty much covers all angles to promote a new project. https://www.indiehackers.com/pos...

Definitely besides SM profiles (Twitter is must!) and blog, you should use Quora and Reddit. Also you can write a few posts for Medium, Thrive Global and Hacker Noon.
