Take a look at competitors and related companies. Have they disclosed any data? Or any articles written about them, with facts researched by journalists? You can also do a top-down analysis trying to find the data from the likes of Gartner or Forrester (and try not to pay an arm and leg). I used YNAB and liked it a lot. I recommended it to friends and family for years. These days I just use a spreadsheet of a template I found years ago on Reddit. It's simple, free, 'offline', and I don't have to worry about any privacy or security concerns.
