I personally believe they will be much more prevalent, allowing for everybody to sell subscriptions to specialised AI systems, based upon their own knowledge and knowhow. With initiatives such as ours (see below), it's certainly becoming much easier.

We started out with AI chatbots. We always had an amazing no-code and low-code platform allowing us to deliver anything related to AI really, but initially everybody just wanted AI chatbots, so we focused all our marketing on this.
As the vertical became saturated, we shifted our marketing focus to custom AI solutions, and started giving much more energy to AI Agents and custom stuff.

You don't need to choose, once you've got an AI assistant you kind of have an AI chatbot too by the very definition of the term. It's an incremental improvement.
