Perhaps you could add a "selfish mode" that would tell someone how much the money would be worth if it was put towards a better investment in the future. Such as, "if you invested this $100 into the S&P 500 instead, it would be worth $1100 when you retire in 35 years". Or for bigger purchases, "If you put this $2000 towards a down payment on a house instead, you could buy a house $10,000...
