I'm working on a software recommendation engine and we're using AI heavily. It's not a trivial problem, but AI can be used heavily to transform the data about products and users. Then you need to layer in multiple pieces of logic. It's definitely not as simple as throwing in ChatGPT at the problem. But the direction is definitely very promising!

My impression is that it's the ones who manage to engage the community somehow, and this typically originates outside of PH. It could be a Twitter stint or a solid marketing effort outside of PH. Of course, they still have to be good products! But I think that promotion is more crucial

I've been following a few folks on LinkedIn who seem to be decently authentic and they gather a decent following (e.g. yuriy-zaremba). I agree that at the end of the day it's more celebratory - every failure has to end with a win - but it still feels to me like an under-utilised medium.

I've tried it and the app I bought there did what I wanted it to do. I think a major problem there from the user point of view is the lack of mainstream software. I'm actually currently building something similar to AppSumo, but better :) Curious to hear other people's experiences with services like this one.

My thinking: most LLM developers focus on one use case at a time, so they need to evaluate a model on a one-off basis (e.g. if I'm building a coding co-pilot, I'll do a one-off research to pick the best model for the coding use case). Same here: first and foremost I understand if it solves the one thing I'm currently trying to accomplish. I'm finding it quite cumbersome to establish that for each software separately though! How about you, is picking a software product easy or tough for you?

Perhaps having a nicely displayed iPad at the wedding venue could be a good in-between solution? Does your app support this?
