Switch to Clubhouse and you will surely love it. There are a couple really good apps like that and after using Trello, Asana, JIRA and many other apps professionally and personally, I think Clubhouse is much better.
Why do you dislike your task / project management apps?

Hello Sajmal,
I checked your product's landing page and I honestly feel that this should be a cloud hosted SaaS product. It is great that it is open source, but I can not understand why it needs to be specified to your buyer as such. The buyer is, I think, brick and mortar shops who have queues. They really do not care if your product's source code is available and under what license. They...

How are you filtering great leads from LinkedIn?
Hello everyone,
I was recently suggested two automation tools for LinkedIn prospecting by @gilad_uziely (https://growth-x.com) and @veebuv (https://meetalfred.com). I could not try MeetAlfred because then need a Windows desktop for the automation and I primarily work on Linux.
I checked out Growth X and a bunch of other LinkedIn automation extensions for Google Chrome...

Hello Sonica,
I have been struggling with sleep for about 6 years now. I have undergone full all-night tests in a sleep clinic. I have been tested in multiple ways. I suffer from "Sleep Maintenance Insomnia" which means I have super fragmented sleep. This affects my cognition during the day and I have suffered from the ill effects over years. There is not easy solution. I have anxiety issues...

Hello Gordian,
This is an interesting question. I am personally interested in software enabled direct democracy as model for future democratic systems. I feel Participation is the most important item in your list because wherever people do not participate, they do not demand for either Transparency or Options or better Processes.
When people participate, they demand all the others things you...

I do not think founders looking for one another is the best way to find co-founders. I meet a lot of people from different channels and when someone has similar thesis as I do regarding business, I simply talk more. Recently I met someone on Reddit who was sharing their own videos explaining complicated database/machine learning related topics in plain English.
Their style resonated with me...

I wholeheartedly agree with @sharon_cohen2 here. I have been in depression for years and been through multiple sessions of counseling. My health was super bad in 20013. I think a lot of this happened because I chose to accept the typical founder stories - all the glamour and front-of-magazine stuff. I drank all that and put myself under pressure.
Two things that have helped immensely, other...

I do not want to invest in ads, it goes against every piece of advice that I know of. What is failing for me at the moment is the outreach I do on LinkedIn. I know that the cold outreach mechanism actually works. What is failing is the volume.
Many successful founders say they had to reach out (Email/LinkedIn/etc) to 1000 people to get 20 real users. So 1 out of 50. This is tough ratio from a...

Hey Bishal, I am sure you made a typo there since the context is very different - the actual quote is "Move **fast** and break things". Basically speed matters. But in reality it does not matter as much as people think.
If you listen to successful founders, you will notice that more of them took many months, maybe 18 months or more, to get to product market fit.
Now with that context, when...

Hey @sodasync the product sure looks nice and useful but I will be a devil's advocate and share a few points as an engineer with a decade of remote work:
- I have always felt that people, me including, want to avoid being on camera
- Text is easier to send out, say when you are just getting out of bed or in a cab
- You lose search capability, convert to "to-do" capability, etc.
- Even to...

Have you charged for B2B software before it has the features you want to sell?
Hello everyone,
I have presented a demo to a good contact of mine. I have worked with their company before and the CTO liked my product, and I was very honest about how early stage this is. My product is commercial open source and the core offering is freely available.
The CTO wants to adopt the product for the company. I want to do a pre-product sales of my Business ($400/month) or...

If you are in B2B and such an early stage and, like me, you are reaching out to the customer then simply book calls with them and talk. Nothing can beat that.

I started putting the list of weekly/monthly threads that appear on different sites like PH, IH, sub-reddits, etc. on my personal calendar. It helps being able to interact with "share your startup" type discussions. But I could not take it further due to lack of time. What would help you as events in such a calendar?
I will test any smart marketing content calendar

I have been developing with React for 4 years now and see no reason to change to anything else. I do experiment within the React app itself. Like I moved away from Redux to Zustand for state management recently. Over the years I have built (with team) some complex apps with React and never regretted the choice. If you are curious about an ongoing large-ish app please feel free to check my...

I think open source or not does not matter as much as "does it add value or not". My product (1) is open source (2) and I have been a community member here for many months now, have received good feedback and just peer-talk. I have not launched on PH but I am planning on doing it soon. It may take multiple launches to get a lot of attention but that has nothing to do with open...

Hey @aaronoleary thanks for starting this each week. I am still working on the same product since April 2020.

Basically a no-code, no-SQL product to visually ask queries about your data - the software generates SQL for you, even complex ones with JOIN, sub-Query, Grouping, Aggregates etc.
