I think it is always a good idea to make some of your basic content available to users to not scare them of at the beginning. If they wont register / login at first, they probably wont do it later. Personally, we had a lot of success with UX tests. There had been some free events within our town where we could do this professionally at no cost at all! Maybe there someone is offering something similar in your area too? Also, the discussions after in combination with pizza had been very beneficial and motivating :D

I noticed many different calls to action. Create account, get free trial, get started now, watch training. This was kind of confusing for me. Why don't you just focus on one? Maybe this will make it easier for a visitor to understand where he should go next.
