We found ourselves spending way too much time trying to find the spec, the design document, the deck etc. across various web applications. When a team member pings about a doc we'd have to dig through browser history, emails, Slack etc. We tried adding links to Confluence page per project, tab managers etc. But nothing quite fit, so we built Hive.
