Wish I could select multiple! The long long texts before the recipes have become absurd, so I have to go with that as my #1 annoyance.

I use rocket money (tracks transactions), credit karma (tracks credit), every dollar (0 based budgeting app), and sometimes a good ol spreadsheet for planning large expenditures.

I like simpleanalytics. It is super simple to use and understand. Plus, they value your users privacy.
Can you suggest a better alternative than Google Analytics for tracking website traffic?

I think that bootstrapping is preferable for the foreseeable future if you can pull it off. Interest rate hikes will make raising money considerably more challenging, and the deals will be less generous to founders.
Is it better to bootstrap and take longer OR raise to go faster, but give up independence?

If you are just trying to find bugs then a beta launch might be useful. However, a marketplace startup must overcome the cold start problem. That is, you must get enough buyers and sellers simultaneously to create a self sustaining network. In my opinion this would be extremely difficult in a beta launch.
Do you think a closed beta launch for a marketplace make sense ?

I have also struggled greatly. The subreddits relevant to my product have very strict no promotion rules.

I think you want to think about who would care about your product, and share it there. For example a developer tool will be relevant to developers, so you should share your developer tool on LinkedIn, Reddit, IndieHackers, and other places with lots of developers.
What social media sites or communities are the best to share your PH launch with?

Free trial. You want to know as soon as possible if people will give you money in exchange for your product. Money is the ultimate proof that you are on to something.

You can start promoting that page on social medias, product hunt, indie hackers, etc. Be careful not to spam on forum based platforms though.
What would be the first step after creating an upcoming page?

Hey Michael,
I, like Y-Combinator, believe the core team should be able to build a minimum viable product with no external resources. The college students who get funding tend to have a basic product with some users before they receive funding. VCs today are unlikely to fund a product in its idea phase. Therefore it seems you need a technical cofounder to build your MVP with. Good candidates...
