👋 Hi everyone!
I'm Ricky, Schedulr's founder.
I'm a software engineer, entrepreneur, and founder who constantly finds himself needing to schedule meetings. A year ago I was searching for a new job, and had tons of meetings with recruiters, countless back-and-forth emails, and had to do the annoying calendar dance to find a good time to meet with employers.
⚡ This gave birth to the idea of...

I've launched lots of startups, and they've all failed prior to my current SaaS, Schedulr. I'd say I made the same mistakes on all of my previous startups, namely believing I could just build it, not talk to anyone, and somehow people would just magically sign up.
It doesn't work like that, you have to get out there and talk to people, even before you launch. It will help you to not spend...
What was the biggest mistake you made when launching your startup?

Hey Chris!
I'm working on https://getschedulr.com, a meeting scheduling tool to take on Calendly. Schedulr was created to make it easier to schedule meetings with others without the headache of back-and-forth emails.
I'm a solo technical founder and have been working on Schedulr on the side of my 9-to-5 for several months. I'm actually planning on a PH launch very soon!

I prefer WFH 100%. I've decided that I'll never go back to an office. I just prefer the freedom to work when/how I want.
WFH or going to office? Which one do you prefer and why?

My most productive working hours are from 9pm (after the kids are in bed) until whatever time at night I can manage, typically midnight or 1am.
What part of the day are you most productive?

I'd say just being part of communities in general, and engaging and interacting with others who are doing it. Here, on IndieHackers, or Twitter.
Also, there's nothing like doing it yourself. I'm building Schedulr in public on twitter (@TheRickyIO) and it has taught me so much about the indie hacking journey marketing, and building a saas as a solo founder. Happy to connect on there as well!
What are the best learning resources you've come across related to building in public movement?

I'm learning to get myself on a schedule. Wake up, meditate, read for at least 30 minutes, then get my day started.
Helps me to be in the right headspace to start the day and the week.

Hi everyone! I'm the creator of GetParked. I thought it would be cool to build a service that lets you browse and reserve domain names that are expiring soon, and try to catch some of the elusive ones. Please let me know what you think!
GetParked
Backorder expiring domains easily
GetParked allows you to browse expiring Top-Level Domains (TLDs), and backorder them. You only get charged if we secure the domain for you.
