To join the crowd above, I'm the publisher, although my involvement in this newsletter itself has been quite minimal :-) I am always happy to answer questions about sending email newsletters, email delivery, or the cut and thrust of running a modern publishing business in the tech space!

Tried it with "peter" and got lots of puns replacing "water" with "peter".. "like a fish out of peter". Haha. I'm guessing it's using a naive algorithm with endings? It might be worth running the dictionary through a Soundex algorithm instead so you can get rhyming words.

It seems more like adding Messenger to existing apps than building apps truly on "top" of Messenger. It only allows existing iOS or Android apps to add Messenger as an extra feature, rather than, say, something like "Magic" which would operate entirely on the platform separate from any app.

I chair a couple of conferences and these immediately jumped out as potentially great gifts to give out to speakers (or even attendees if they were sponsored/branded, perhaps). Can you imagine the extra social possibilities if these were used at events?

I know I really love the idea behind this product because I'm now really annoyed it's not on Android :-) (All my iOS devices are smashed and waiting to get fixed..)

It reminds me a little of Seth Godin's Squidoo, but more accessible without introducing unusual terminology like Squidoo did ("lens", "lensmasters", etc.) :-)
