Niraj Tolia is the co-founder and CEO at Alcion, an early-stage startup focusing on data management space. He was previously the co-founder CEO of Kasten, focused on Kubernetes backup and disaster recovery. After Kasten’s acquisition by Veeam, he served as the General Manager and President and the SVP, Strategy of Kasten by Veeam. He was also a Governing Board member of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). He has held multiple other leadership roles in the past including Senior Director of Engineering for Dell EMC's CloudBoost group and VP of Engineering and Chief Architect at Maginatics (acquired by Dell EMC). Niraj received his Ph.D., MS, and BS in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where he was a part of the Parallel Data Lab.
