Should a developer worry about the disconnect between viral new tech and what's actually used?
I might be imagining this, I could easily be, but there seems to be a massive number of very simple apps that always have the newest developer technologies, and then there are these enterprise behemoths with tons of revenue and not that great of UI that are ignored.

I've seen many startups struggle to find solid people to work with. Nextcept is my current best attempt to solve this problem. Answer random or personal questions and hope to catch a glimpse of who a person is. Scroll through other people's answers until you find one that resonates with you. It's a much more "real" method of finding or connecting to someone than any other social network...
