I have been using themes since February 2019 and they are super useful for many use cases. We built https://gatsbywpthemes.com to port popular WordPress themes to Gatsby themes and I think we were quite successful. Also, awesome people like Chris and John were super helpful when we got stuck with it. Kudos!

Tested it after Jason spoke at WCUS 17 and loved it ever since. Using it for https://GatsbyWPThemes.com.
Pros: Fast, no noise, ask just what you want, just make a single call to a single endpoint. Yay!
Cons: It's still evolving but Jason has been responsive and helpful for all my questions and bug reports.
