Do websites still rely heavily on SEO for traffic? I feel like nowadays people go to your website directly from seeing something on social media.

In addition to my last comment, just let them leave. Your product just might not be for them and that's okay. Understand what your product does and who it is for. That way when you see people leave you can say either "oh that makes sense they wouldn't need this" or "I thought they would use this. I need to figure out why they don't".

Ask them why they stopped using your product and re-evaluate what your product does for them. If users are leaving then that means there's nothing your product does to make them stay.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but there aren't a lot of good communities online that I've found (Product Hunt is good though). I would recommend applying to an accelerator or finding a local co-working office to go to to connect with people. I think a lot of makers are busy making and promote their products in online communities rather than help.

I don't remember where I heard this, but in a recession like this, a startup's main focus should just be to survive. By just surviving you are beating the competition as many startups will fail.

How do you get people to sign up? I've struggled with creating an emailing list.

I think customer input can come in two forms. They tell you their problem and sometimes they tell you how to solve it. Listen to their problem but solve it yourself. Maybe your solution is the same, or maybe you'll give them something they didn't even know they wanted.

I recommend starting a Discord server. They're really good platforms to serve as your communities home base.

As a solo founder, I'd say I'm most motivated when someone expects something from me. When a user I talked to or someone I'm working with expects something to be done, it sets a soft deadline that I feel I'm obligated to meet. Also, I think expectations are a huge factor. Set your expectations extremely low so you don't get discouraged from failure.

I don't even think the race has even started yet. ChatGPT just gets NLP into the hands of the average consumer, but it's not a fully complete product. GPT-3 also from OpenAI is stronger, but not easily accessible for the average person so most don't know about it. Google definitely has very strong models yet to be released.
