Algolia is one of the best services out there. Works really well.
My only complaint is that on credit cards they show up as Alg Theseus which can confuse people.

This is exactly what I wanted from Republic Wireless and it looked like they were building this same exact product. Fast forward a few years later, and it's no where to be found and they increased their monthly by $10.

I feel that more people would be excited, if Facebook didn't make a facebook account a requirement. It's understandable though since the specs are unbelievable for a stand alone VR device that's only $299. I would be surprised if they weren't taking a loss on hardware.

If Oculus Quest weren’t a thing, this would be more of a home run. Then again this is cheaper and Peleton is still here.

Facebook’s device seem really cool now vs the 1st gen portals, especially the TV product and the picture frame devices. I just don’t trust Facebook enough anymore to let them put a camera in my house. Great prices for interesting products though. Surprisingly still on the fence for this one

Hope they addressed reliability with this next release. The last generation Kinect would routinely break within several months.

@mdschiller Awesome job! I was going to call mine ycdb as well but you beat me to it by like a year. Anyways, I own yc-db.com and ycdb.app if you're interested. Otherwise, I'm just going to let them lapse

@98mprice You were probably jk, but I disagree with you saying that this is pointless. If I was a designer and I was having a creative slump, this would totally be useful for inspiration. Why don't you make a better landing page with a "coming soon" signup (maybe with Ship) and try to push it to sneaker blogs and see if any sneaker designers bite? This could be a potentially sweet SAAS. This is...

Hey everyone, this is what I made for PH's Maker Festival. I figured it'd be interesting for everyone to get a deeper look at YC companies, instead of the usual list of companies with funding information. On a side note, there's a lot of data missing and it's buggy. Anyways, let me know if you guys have any questions and if anyone is interested in helping me complete - ping me!

It's easy to use and maintain. The administration features are good. There's plenty of themes. It's easy to use overall. Also, since it's running on nodejs, performance is better than most CMS platforms. If it weren't for the lack of creation and update actions in the API, this would be the best CMS. (Yes, they exist, but they are private, not documentated and can change any second.)...

It would be great if this eventually covers all lobbying and not just the NRA. Otherwise, it's a good start.

Being able to turn off the TV and control the volume with your voice is worth it. That's something you can't get with anything right now other than with Kinect for Xbox.

My guess is that this is the French take of the Nvidia Shield, which is a TV streaming box that also plays Android games. Games that you wouldnt' expect on Android like Bioshock, Borderlands, Batman Arkham, Witcher 3 - real games and not mobile games. The difference being the industrial design and the 100 Atari classic games. With the Nintendo mini-consoles, there are games you just can't get...
