Patience. Long lasting communities need lot of patience to build. But ROI on a successful community beats every other growth engine out there.

@mattisssa - Slack and Discord may look very lucrative to build your community on. Having built several communities in the past 15 years; I'll strongly advise you against Slack/Discord.
Sooner or later, you will run into several issues:-
1. It becomes a mess once your active member count grows beyond 50. Engagement will lower drastically after the place become chaotic.
