So many of my conversations with friends have involved "where / when are we going for drinks tonight?" which involves one of us clumsily searching through Yelp and copying and pasting a link over to messaging. I love how this makes the cumbersome routine into a single step that's already integrated into messaging I use today. Looking forward to trying this out for weekends to come!

I was one of their early customers.
They organized a half hour call with their PR specialist. We went over my story and figured out the angle to pitch journalists. I filled out a brief form covering the background of the company and that was it.
In a few days, I started getting emails requesting interviews. I got contacted by a reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle. Within 10...

Sorry for the novel! I got started writing the story and I didn't want to stop in the middle. The TL;DR - eSports is booming, Teevox feels sweet, I'm happy, let's go explore the future of entertainment
The problem with streaming was that it has a lot of down time. In between games, you're usually staring at the streamer staring at his computer. Tournaments are even worse—twenty minutes...

Hi everyone!
Lapface was my weekend hack designed to give the feeling of working with other people. It takes a low resolution webcam shot every 3 seconds of you working. I made the image with slow fps to relieve you of the pressure that usually comes with broadcasting.
It wasn't built with any business purpose. It just feels nice to have people working alongside you. I've had it...

I love the floating hearts. They create a visceral feeling of being loved. It seems like they trigger an tight positive feedback cycle where the streamer feels more motivated to do more interesting things that immediately results in more hearts.

What's so compelling is the feeling that you'll be at the point of attention by someone. Having another human being think about you and you alone feels special. I would bet people are more attracted to the personal connection than the objective value of the opinion.
The formula that makes this work is having a detailed bio that makes it clear who will be providing feedback. I could...

I'm a fan. The mouse-movement based randomizer is brilliant. I appreciate how much you managed to lower the cognitive load for a complicated operation.

This is fantastic. It would be very useful to be able to request professional voice-overs like the one in the demo. Let me type the instructions then pay a one-time premium to get it all rendered into narration.

I'm a fan. Each time you unlock your phone, there's a chance of an unexpected delight from someone you care about. Pretty much the worst thing if you're trying to decrease time on your phone.

The idea of notifications that you can sign up for without downloading another app is incredibly powerful. You could sprinkle these buttons within Tweets and Facebook posts.
Most interestingly, I think a Yo subscription humanizes the service. It almost feels like ProductHunt, your friend, is calling out "Yo!" to you as a person.
