I'm Yaokai Jiang, a software engineer. I made this nocode tool Momen with my team mostly to scratch my own itch, which can be summed up with: "building an MVP and scaling it".
I am a software engineer by both training and trade. As I was working on various side projects before starting this company, I came to the realization that I was repeating the same process: cloud server -> database...

Text2SQL for the BI ppl? Or owners / execs of a company?
I do like the connectors a lot. Data silos are the worst. How do you deal with different field definitions when you import data from third party? Also how frequent are the synchronization?

Well, even with a technical background (i'm a seasoned backend engineer), when I'm not careful, I get lost in the hundreds of lines of code it generates.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Is the end deliverable an html page or an blog website? How does it post to my site? What assumptions does it make regarding how my site is built?

Life-time deals sound like a reversion to how software used to be sold. It does provide quite a bit of perverse incentive to the seller. (little incentive to maintain)
How do you decide if your product needs a lifetime deal?

Yes.
A good software engineer can easily pick up testing, even automated ones, not vice-versa
Is software testing easier than software development?

I’m Yaokai Jiang, founder of Momen.app. Ask Me Anything! 💥
Hey everyone 👋 I’m Yaokai, founder of Momen.app. A nocode full-stack web app builder to empower non-technical founders to build and scale their MVP.
I am a software engineer by training and by trade. While building various side projects while I was still employed, I was quite annoyed by having to repeated build the boilerplates / scaffolding, and thought to myself: All of the stuff I was...

DMs can be a double-edged sword though. Too much energy spent on each, you run yourself into the ground. Too little, then it's equivalent to spamming. Delicate balance, very difficult to get right.

My take is that this question should really be split into two sub question:
Is the platform scalable in terms of performance?
Can products built using a no-code platform be maintained and iterated upon?
Regarding performance: save a few giants like facebook / amazon, I would argue that 99.9% companies will never exceed 1m users. So if a platform can support a 1m user base, which I would say...
How concerned are you with scalability when using no-code tools to build software?
