Can you be too reliant on Cloud Products?
I'm building an app using Firebase and an AI platform. I have done the calculations and set budgets to avoid huge billing costs. I am still a little nervous after seeing horror stories of people with huge bills from Google Cloud, AWS, Vercel and many other places. Can you be too dependent on cloud products?
I am building an app using Firebase and Deepgram's Speech-to-Text API. They have allowed me to expedite the build process but I am now worried that I am overly reliant on these cloud platforms and that I may end up with a huge bill down the line.
Do you think it is a bad idea to build something entirely with cloud products in terms of cost and getting locked into certain vendors like Google?
