I've found myself using AirDrop _a lot_ lately from a range of places, Finder, Photos, etc... however it was becoming a little tedious to switch around or use the share menus to initiate AirDrop over and over. I've been looking for something to build around the MacBook notch for awhile and thought this might be just the right time.
After building a quick prototype I tweeted about it here...

Hey everyone! Long time listener, first time launcher.
I built this as an excuse to play with some Apple SDKs I was interested in, namely PencilKit, CloudKit adds and this was the result.
