We are already in the future, but it feels like we have gone backwards.
Social media is isolating us, not bringing us together.
Authors and artists are becoming 'content creators' - all for the clicks and views.
AI slop is spewed out by AI-generated people.
Don't read it, the Internet is a mess. And don't be one who writes it!
AI tools are stopping us from thinking, not inspiring us.
We're...

Write like Hemingway, edit like Orwell. This typewriter editor takes you back in time, long before AI and social media. It's just you, your words, and your typos!

Hi again, back with another open-source tool!
Typr is a customisable editor built with TipTap/ProseMirror.
As much as an Editor, it's also a publishing tool with a draft/pending/publish workflow. It also has user state management with customisable user menus - play around with the demo site and you'll see!
I use this editor in my own site (Prototypr.io), so will continually be improving it....

I use ☕ Ko-Fi to receive tips and donations on article pages from my website, which is built with React.js.
I decided to open-source those components as a library that anyone to use:
- Ko-Fi Dialog: A Ko-Fi button that opens a donation dialog
- Ko-Fi Button: A button that opens Ko-Fi page
- Ko-Fi Widget: The Ko-Fi floating widget
- Ko-Fi Panel: The Ko-Fi panel embed
Hope it's useful!

Best AI tools to create product promo/teaser videos?
I usually make promo vids of an app interface with https://rotato.app, where you record the screen and rotate it with effects (here's on eof my examples: https://youtu.be/emGfRv1lX9Q?si=-ceYVyXVfmtdU8Nb)
It can take a couple hours though - after rotato, I switch to screenflow to add text and music. I wondered if there's any new AI tools that can create promo vids like this. Otherwise I could...
Go back to the oldest of old twitter logos (2005, 2006 ,etc), or explore new variations!
When Elon changed the Twitter logo to an X, lots of people designed their own versions, or wanted to go back to the old one. This plugin lets you switch between many logos

Hey PH, I made this one last week, my first Chrome plugin! It took until a couple days ago to get approved so it's a late one for the topic, but hope it's still fun!
The plugin gives you all the old twitter logos to choose from, including the green slime one, as well as some logos made by designers in the community like Michal (https://twitter.com/michalmalewicz) and Hiroon...

Launching as a bootstrapped and/or solo maker?
I always loved watching the solo and bootstrapped makers launching here on PH.
From back when I started here, that was the part of the community I loved most..but we are always competing with funded projects and huge teams here. So it's not always been a level playing field, as the venture backed products have teams and networks to pump their launches! Sometimes that becomes a bit spammy...
