Our community, tilde.town, has its own Mastodon instance, and let me tell you, it's so much fun to hang out with people you're actually cool with, instead of having to deal with Russian bots, horrible racists tweeting images of gore at you, and millennials making constant hot takes. I like that there's more of a curated, experience, and you can choose which instances to federate in your feed....

What a wonderful project. If there is anything that America needs to understand it's that all immigrants are valid, regardless if they work in Silicon Valley or not––immigrants are more than just a workforce. They're people, too!

Just a question here for anyone who's interested in responding: why does being nice in an email seem like such a difficult task? Is it because bosses and clients are really assholes? I'm writing a book on etiquette for millennials right now, and I want to know what sort of passive-aggressive environment these emails are being created in. Is civility really this hard to come by?
