Do you pay employees at market salary as an early-stage startup? 💰
Curious to get the community's POV!
We're early stage and don't have crazy amount of VC capital yet. We're currently paying sub-market + stock options for our employees. We're finding it harder and harder to retain employees with sub-market salaries, especially with remote work. Engineers are getting harder to find and are offered ridiculous offers from other companies.

Do you think sales is going away with Product-Led Growth?
It's clear that product-led growth is the new game-changing strategy and is here to stay. I'm curious to know the communities' perspective on sales in the PLG model and whether or not it's slowly going away.

Working like crazy affects my mental health for sure. I recently researched ways to boost "happy neurochemicals" (Dopamine, Serotonin, Gaba, Endorphins) in the context of work and found cool tricks:
1. Listen to music while working
2. (This one is obvious) Get enough sleep
3. Volunteer to help a colleague
4. Split your work into small, achievable tasks
5. Work outside (summer) or move...

I do work on weekends because I like working on our product. The trick is making sure you don't feel like you have to, and not feeling bad when taking some time for yourself during the week!
For example, I might work on Sunday morning but won't feel bad taking 1hr of my Wednesday to play sports!

@vijayanands The only thing that has worked for me so far is to take the tech teams' ETA, double it and there goes my release/marketing date haha...
Maybe a second thing: Taking more time for planning/scoping before they start coding
