I've been using time-blocking for years but struggled to find a way to track the sessions without getting distracted.
By using a 9-axis accelerometer, it maintains the simplicity of an hourglass, yet is adjustable from 1-100 minutes. ⏳
The development took over 2 years and served as a jumping off point to learn more about electronics, 3D printing, prototyping, and manufacturing.

For design, I have to give my vote to @Nomadgoods. The cantilever twist is much more elegant and complements the style of the watch. Even with the watch’s center of gravity being over the base, I was wondering about stability, but it sounds like they embedded some copper inside.
