With everyone in my house having siloed schedules, I wanted to use my unused living room TV to show our family calendar. I checked for what was available and nothing appeared actually usable (at distance) from a UI perspective. So my friend and I put together this simple calendar app that is easy to read at a distance. Now I have Upcoming running on all of our TVs and our friends have told us...

Love the simplicity of this idea. A few years back, a couple friends and I founded Mingle, a location-based professional networking app so this space still rings near and dear to me. Love the execution and looking forward to the emails*.

As a UX/UI snob, I think you should really revisit the UI. The biggest thing that concerns me is the inability to consumer information at a glance. The font is hardly legible due to it's elongated and almost 'smashed' structure. Drivers cruising at high speeds should be able to glance and understand in a fraction of a second, not squint or look closer to figure out what it says.
