Universal binary shims
Make tiny shim files that remotely fetch platform-specific binaries. This makes it easy to have a `./bin` directory in a repo that contains things like (for example) node, jq, and shellcheck.

Legitimately life changing. I'm sure it's not for everyone, and it seems really silly, but rather than procrastinate and say "oh I'll just finish this tomorrow" I know I'm going to have to come up with an excuse for "my boss".
